Chapter 14 Heavy Skies

I sense air, clean air, rushing past my face.  It feels good.  For once I don't feel like I'm burning up.  In fact it feels a little cold. 

Am I outside?

Where was I not too long ago..?  Wasn't I just in...

I open my eyes and see a magnificent sky.  Huh those are some strange stars.  They look like burning skeletons and glowing maggots.  I hear fabric snapping in my ear.  Now that I think about it I feel like I'm falling? 

Ernest is holding me.  There's Ioan looking very serious.

Wait. 

We're falling.

Chapter 13 Invasive

One by one the villagers made their appearance.  Crackle. SizzCrackle. Pop. Charred flesh covered skeletal bone.  Their entire bodies were wreathed in flames.  Like living candles the villagers stood out from the darkness of the worm's cave-like belly.  In silence they moved into position, a complete circle that trapped the three.  There was no light in those eye sockets.  Empty.

Chapter 12 Thirsty Work

Yuck.  It stinks like death in here.

Hmm...

Other than these thoughts...

I know I must still be alive, because my body hurts all over.

Chapter 11 Cavernous Caverns

When was the last time I saw light?  Even the creepy green light?
